Bun Maska
Ingredients :
1/2 cup Warm Water
1tbsp Sugar
1.5tsp Instant Yeast
1/2 cup Milk
2tbsp Sugar
1/2tsp Vanilla Essence
250g All Purpose Flour
1tbsp Milk Powder
1/2tsp Salt
1tbsp Butter
1/4 cup Tutti Fruitti
Oil to Grease Bowl
1 Egg Yolk
1tbsp Milk
Method :
1. Mix luke warm water with sugar and instant yeast. Mix well and allow it to activate.
2. Mix milk, sugar and vanilla essence till sugar is completely dissolved.
3. In a bowl, take all purpose flour, milk powder, salt, activated yeast and milk mixture.
4. Bring the dough together and knead for 10 - 15 mins.
5. Add tutti fruitti and mix well.
6. Divide the dough and make buns. Place in tray and allow it to double in size.
7. Mix egg yolk and milk. Brush it on top of the buns. Decorate with tutti fruitti.
8. Bake in preheated oven at 180° C for 30 mins or till it turns brown on top.
9. Brush with butter. Cover with cloth for 10 mins.
10. Cut open the buns. Apply a generous amount of butter. Cut it in 2's or 3's. Enjoy with a cup of tea.
