Threaded Prawns | How to Make Thread Prawns | Indo Chinese Starter

Threaded Prawns

Ingredients :
10 Large Sized Prawns Deveined & cleaned and keep the tail intact
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tsp Black Pepper
Juice of Half Lemon
2tbsp Cornflour
1tbsp All Purpose Flour
1/4tsp Salt
1/4tsp White Pepper
1 heaped tbsp Schezwan Sauce (homemade recipe available on page)
Water as required to make a thick paste
Spring roll sheets
Oil to Deep Fry

Method :
1. Make 3 slits on prawn to avoid prawns from coiling.
2. Marinate prawns with salt, black pepper and lemon juice for 15 mins.
3. Add cornflour, all purpose flour, salt, white pepper and schezwan sauce. Add water as required to make a thick paste.
4. Mix the prawns in the second marinade.
5. Cut spring roll sheet into threads.
6. Roll prawns coated in batter on a bed of spring roll threads.
7. Deep fry in hot oil on low medium flame till light golden brown.
